This Privacy Policy explains how Varun Bhalla ("Keepsake", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Keepsake app (the "App"). We built Keepsake to collect only what we need to run the Service. We do not sell your personal data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address, a display name, and an account identifier. If you use Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google, we receive the email (or relay) address and basic profile information those services provide. We never receive your Apple or Google password.
Content you create. We store the recipes, collections, ingredients, steps, notes, source links, and photos you add or import, so we can sync them across your devices and provide the Service.
Import content. When you import a recipe, we process the URL, text, or photos you submit in order to extract recipe details (see "AI and content processing" below).
Subscription and purchase information. If you subscribe to Keepsake Plus, your purchase is processed by Apple. We and our subscription provider (RevenueCat) receive your subscription status and purchase history associated with your account identifier. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
Technical information. We process limited technical data needed to operate and secure the Service (for example, app and OS version, and server logs such as IP address and request metadata). We do not use analytics or advertising SDKs, and we do not collect a device advertising identifier.
We use information to: create and manage your account; store and sync Your Content; process recipe imports (including AI extraction); provide, maintain, and improve the Service; manage subscriptions and free/paid limits; render share pages for content you choose to share; respond to support requests; ensure security and prevent abuse; and comply with legal obligations.
To extract recipe details from what you import, we send the content you submit — such as the page content of a URL, pasted text, or photos — to third-party processors, including Google's Gemini AI service and content-fetching services used to retrieve web pages. These providers process the content to return structured recipe data and act as our service providers. We do not use your content to build advertising or profiling systems.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can delete your account at any time in the App (Settings → Delete account). Deleting your account permanently removes your account and associated content (recipes, collections, photos) from our systems, cascading across our database and file storage, subject to short-lived residual backups that are deleted in the ordinary course and any records we are legally required to keep.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can access and edit most of your data directly in the App, and delete all of it via account deletion. To make a request or ask a question, contact hello@getkeepsake.xyz. If you are in the EEA or UK, our legal bases for processing are performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, your consent (where applicable), and compliance with legal obligations. If you are in California, we do not "sell" or "share" your personal information as those terms are defined by law.
We and our service providers may process and store information in countries other than where you live, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide notice in the App where appropriate.
